With deep sorrow, the Reeves and Smith families announce the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin Ciapha Lafayette-Gant Reeves. Ciapha went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2017 in Taylor, Michigan.
Ciapha was the beloved husband of Wilma Jean Reeves, loving father of Owen, Lucretia, and Ciapha, Jr. (Ashlee), and the cherished grandfather of Ayanna, Owen, Kawame, Sean, Nasar, Tatiana, Ciapha the III, and Camden; dear brother of Elder Bindu M. Reeves-Mfinanga (Issick), Charles K. Reeves the III (Patricia), and Meatta E. N. Reeves; proud mentor/uncle of SSG Charles B. Dean (Jessica) and Mabelene. Ciapha is also survived by his dearest uncle and aunt Emmanuel & Serena Reeves, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
May his sweet, kind-hearted soul rest in perfect peace.
