HOME GOING OF THE LATE
REVEREND DR. AFRICANUS MOSES ROULHAC JR.
JANUARY 16, 1941 – APRIL 1, 2018

With mournful hearts and total submission to the will of God, the Roulhac, Bracewell, Woods and Clark families, along with the Liberia Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention family, announce the home-going of their beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin, the Reverend Dr. Africanus Moses Roulhac, Jr (“THE OLD PROPHET”).  This sad event occurred on April 1, 2018 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.

Daddy, Borbor, Father, Uncle Moses, the Old Prophet, Reverend, Rev. Roulhac, Igwe, Pa Mo, A.M., as he was affectionately called, was not only a Jewel in his family but also an upstanding citizen. Among his many accomplishments, he served as President of the Liberia Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention, Inc., as well as President of the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary.  Rev. Dr. Africanus Moses Roulhac also pastored several Baptist Churches including, Zion Praise Baptist Church, Bensonville; Effort Baptist Church, Paynesville, and Zion Grove Baptist Church, Brewerville. Additionally he served as the Director of the William R. Tolbert Indigent Children’s Home, Bensonville City.

He is survived by his wife Rose (nee Dunbar), his first wife, Brenda (nee Jarrett), his children, Estella (Everett) Clark, Ennis, Meribah, Mydea (Theo), Edmund, and Ernest, his sister, Mother Lucretia E. Roulhac, his step-children Genevieve and Lewis, his numerous surrogate children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States and Liberia. 

Rev. Dr. Africanus Moses Roulhac was predeceased by his parents, Moses A. Roulhac Sr and Emma Roulhac, his daughter, Meshell, his brother Nathaniel, and sister Miranda.
 

Funeral arrangements will be held at Providence Baptist Church, Ashmun and Center Streets, Monrovia, Liberia:

Wake Keeping:
Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 5:00pm to 9:00pm

Funeral:
Friday, April 20, 2018 at 9:00am

Interment follows at his late mother, Emma Roulhac’s home on West Road, Arthington, Liberia

**All tributes will be made during the Wake-Keeping Services with the exception of Organizations, Churches and immediate family.
