George McDonald Sacko

George McDonald Sacko was called home by our Almighty God on September 17, 2011. He passed away at the St. Michael's Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, USA.

George was a national soccer icon having played in the 1950s and 1960s for the national soccer team of Liberia, the "Lone Star", Invincible Eleven (IE), and Mighty Barrolle ("Rollers"). He was a star athlete and good citizen.

George is survived by his sons, Abdul-Latif Sacko and George M. Sacko, Jr.; daughter , Sophia Sacko Moore; brother, Garretson "Bulldozer" Sacko; niece, Danielle Sacko; and a host of other relatives and close friends residing in the United States of America, Liberia and other parts of the world.

May the Soul of our Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend Rest In Perfect Peace!
