Mr. Joseph D. F. Sawyer

The Sawyer family announces with deep regrets the home going of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Mr. Joseph D. F. Sawyer. This sad and unfortunate event occurred on Friday June 3, 2005 at the Lower Bucks Hospital in Bucks County, PA.

"Pa" as he was commonly called, was born to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Mendi Sawyer on June 28, 1934 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Pa was one of the most influential, positive, generous and talented person you could meet. As a brilliant engineer and former employee of Robertsfield International Airport (RIA), CUBITTS International, Liberian Electricity Corporation (LEC), and Hotel Africa, he was recognized for his many great works and honesty.

As a dedicated family man, Pa was well respected and loved. He leaves to mourn his wife and partner Mrs. Dolcie M. Innis-Sawyer, 7 children (Augustine Sawyer, Jonathan Sawyer, Dolcie A. Sawyer, Daizy B. Sawyer, Doreen B. Sawyer, Josephus F. Sawyer and Michael P. Sawyer), 3 sisters (Ann-Marie Sawyer, Monica Sawyer and Veronica Sawyer), 1 brother (Mr. Thomas Sawyer), 10 grandchildren, cousins and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements are as follows:

Viewing will be at the Louis A. Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown, PA 19057 on June 10, 2005 from 7pm-9pm.

Funeral Services will be held at the Church of St. Ann, 357 Dorrance St, Bristol, PA 19007 on June 11, 2005 from 10 am -11 am.
