Mrs. Theresa Maria Gii-Muna Siklo

Sunrise: July 23, 1923

Sunset: February 21, 2008

It is with profound sadness that the Siklo and Nimene families announce the home going of their mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunty and cousin, Mrs. Theresa Maria Gii- Muna Siklo, affectionately called, ‘Dwehdi’ and ‘Our Ma’ in her 84th year. This sad event occurred on Thursday, February 21, 2008, in Monrovia, at 12:30 pm Liberian Standard Time/ 7:30 am Eastern Standard Time.

‘Mamie Pepper’ as she was also called because of her skills in using traditional African healthcare methods to treat sicknesses, was a very humble, humorous and discipline person to be around. We thank God for blessing us, by making it possible to have been nurtured by such a loving and caring person as ‘Our Ma’. The remains of ‘Our Ma’ will be laid to rest next to her life-partner of some 60 years, who predeceased her in January 2001. In her last year on this earth, she often said, “I want to go to my husband”. May they both rest in perfect peace with their four children who predeceased them, including Agnes Chiedi Siklo-Walker, killed during the Liberian civil war.

The late Mrs. Siklo leaves to mourn her loss, her sisters: Mrs. Mary Kladi Nimely and Ms. Martha Lor Nimene; 10 children: Martin Wolo Siklo, Beatrice Muna Siklo, Timothy Dweh Siklo, Charles Sima Siklo, Francis Sunday Siklo, Francis Seh Siklo, Angeline Welleh Siklo, Christiana Siwlo Siklo and Matthias Pupo Siklo; 26 grand children, 12 great-grand children and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:
