The Smith, Davies and Taylor families announce the sudden home going of their loving patriarch, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and devout servant of God, Mr. Wilfred Edgerton Smith Sr. after a brief illness. This sad event occurred on December 19, 2015 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital, Monrovia, Liberia.
He leaves to mourn his loss his children, Miata Smith, Alfred Smith III., Winifred Smith, and Wilfred Smith Jr., 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends including his dear friend Ms. Regina Gaye. His father Alfred Smith Sr., mother Omo Davies, grandmother Betsy Taylor and son Larry Davies-Smith predeceased him.
“Boy Wilfred” as he was called touched the lives of many, was very generous and always willing to help others. He lived a great life and will truly be missed.
Funeral arrangements are as:
The remains of the deceased will be removed from the Samuel Stryker Funeral Parlor on January 15, 2016 at 4:00 P.M and taken to the First United Methodist Church – Corner of Ashmun and Gurley Streets from 6:00P.M. To 9:00 P.M.
Services will commence at 10:00 A.M. prompt at the same venue on January 16, 2015. Interment follows at the Brewerville Cemetry, Brewerville, Liberia.
