On Friday, July 4th, Arway, age 51, of Fort Washington, MD, wife of Christopher Swepson, and mother of Simbahti Swepson, peacefully passed away at Georgetown University Hospital, surrounded by family, after a valiant 18-month battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Strong was her faith, even as Arway took her last breath.
Arway was born on August 21, 1962 in Monrovia, Liberia to the late Anthony Tieh and Priscilla Enisio Sayeh. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Chris, and loving daughter, Simbahti. She joins the ancestors, and is survived by 15 brothers, 8 sisters, 942 Facebook friends, and a host of other relatives and friends around the world.
A truly phenomenal woman of God, a gifted pastry chef, artist and writer, Arway will be sorely missed. We love her dearly but God loves her best. Her strong faith and encouragement to others will remain a lasting inspiration and treasure to us all.
