P. Bennett Toe Sr.

The Toe family announces with profound regrets, the home going of their family Patriarch, P. Bennett Toe Sr., in his 84th year. This sad event occurred at 11:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Monrovia, Liberia. Borbor, as he was affectionate called, was born unto the union of Mable Juah and William Borbor-Wleh Toe on July 6, 1933 in Felokan Town, Barobo District, Maryland County, Liberia.

He was educated at the AGM Elementary/Junior High School and the Cape Palmas High in Maryland County before enrolling at and graduating from the university of Liberia in 1966, earning a BA degree in Education.

As an Educator, he taught at the Newport Junior High School on Newport Street in Monrovia and the AGM Elementary/Junior High School on Buchanan Street in Monrovia. He was the first Principal of the AGM High School in Congo Town, Monrovia. He was also the founder and principal of the St. Frances High School in Jacobs Town, Paynesville.
P. Bennett Toe, Borbor, P. Bennett, Teacher Toe, Principal Toe, Deacon Toe as he was variously called, was a father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, an astute and passionate educator and a man of God. He will be severely missed.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of 57 years, Nellie Hinneh-Toe; his children: P. Bennett Toe Jr. (Deceased), Dennis Toe (Deceased), Bennetta Toe Hennings, Ida Tompo, Samuel Julius, Fred Julius, Hansen Toe (Rose), Christine Toe (Deceased), Oretha Toe, Nancy Toe-Towalid, Pinky Toe, Winston Toe, Comfort Wesseh Hinneh, Mabel Hinneh-Gbafore, Agnes Toe, Nora Wesseh, Gerald Toe, Zack M Toe, Sweedy Toe, Geraldine Toe-Tarway (Ben Tarway), Tusue Toe-Cooper (Cyrus Cooper); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of relatives and friends.
