Honourable Garrison Forhclan Togba, Sr.

With profound regret the Togba Family wish to announce the glorious home going of their father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and nephew the Honourable Garrison Forhclan Togba, Sr., who have gone to join the cloud of witnesses.

The Honourable Garrison F. Togba, Sr., also known as Nelson was born on Tuesday, June 5, 1934 in Rockcess, Rivercess Territory now Rivercess County.

Honourable Togba took his flight on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania, U. S. A. He the deceased was predeceased by his dear and lovely wife of fifty two years Martha M. Togba on Friday, June 8, 2012. May their soul enjoy the sweet peace of heaven in Jesus name. Amen.

The Honourable was a former classroom teacher at the St. Simon Baptist Elementary School in Rivercess County.for several years. In 1966 he moved to Monrovia. From Monrovia he went to worked with the Firestone Plantations Company in Harbel. He joined the Plantations' Security commonly known as P. P. D (Plant Protection Department) for about four years and relocated to Monrovia. In Monrovia he worked with the Ministry of Justice.

In 1971 he was sent to the National Police Academy for training. After his graduation in 1972 he continued working with the National Police Force until he rose to the rank of Captain. He served the Liberian Government for about twenty seven years (1972 - 1999).

He resigned his job to join his wife in the great United States of America. The Honourable was a staunch believer in the Lord. Jesus Christ. He served as a Senior District Elder in his church the Bible Church of Christ aka Soul Winning Church of Christ now called The Faith Tabernacle in Popo Beach, Point Four, Bushrod, Monrovia, Liberia.

Honourable Togba is survived by his one and only sister Lucia Togba in Liberia. Nine children all of the United States namely; Garrison F. Togba, Jr., Charles, Emmanuel, Aloysous, Manneh, Alvin, Roselyn, Josephine, Matita and several adopted children including Sue Williams Moore,(USA) Morrison Jarnyenneh (Norway), Edith J. Nimely (Liberia) thirty four grandchildren, four great grand children, uncles, sister, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and relatives in the USA, Europe, Africa and other part of the globe.

Wake Keeping: Friday, March 13, 2015 7 P. M.. - 9 P. M.

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 14, 2015 10 A. M.

Both Wake Keeping and Funeral Service will be held at: The Faith Emmanuel Lutheran Church on 65 Penn Boulevard, East Lansdowne, PA 19050

Interment: Fernwood Cemetery Baltimore Pike, Fernwood, PA 19050
