Memorial
Service for Professor Victor E. Ward
After
15 years of mourning their loss, the Ward Family
announces a Memorial Service to commemorate the
life of the late Professor Victor E. Ward
(1930 - 1990)
Professor
Victor E. Ward, Former Chairperson, Chemistry
Department at the T.J. Faulkner School of Science
& Technology, University of Liberia, left
this world on or about November 20, 1990 and left
to mourn his loss his brother, Rev. Dr. Ernest
S. Ward; his sister, Theodora Ward-Jackson; four
children: Vickie E. Ward Kendall, Delano E. Ward,
Vivian E. Ward-Worjloh and Vyda E. Ward; two step-children,
Rhodesia Martin Smith and Rev. Charles L. Martin;
one foster brother, Nahor B. Ward; grandchildren,
nieces and nephews and a host of relatives. His
parents, Sarah Josephine and Rev. Dr. T. Ebenezer
Ward, his oldest brother, William E. Ward, two
children, Emanuel and Janie, and two foster brothers,
Moses and John Ward predeceased him.

I. Memorial Service:

Directions:
From Trenton and Points North: Take 95 South to
Maryland. Exit at 495 West (exit 27 to Silver
Spring). Stay on 495 west to exit #31-Georgia
Avenue. Church is at the corner of Georgia Avenue
and Weller Road. Park in the parking lot behind
the church
From Richmond and Points South: Take 95 north
and merge onto 395 north toward Washington. Merge
onto 495 north toward Tysons Corner (for 25 miles)
and exit at Georgia Avenue (exit 31A). Continue
on Georgia Avenue to the intersection of Weller
Road and park in parking lot behind the church.
II.

Campaign
Kickoff for the Ward Fund Memorial Wall
The Ward Fund is proud to announce an unprecedented
opportunity for friends, family members and former
students of the late Professor Ward to help carry
out his work of educating Liberian youth. This
is also an opportunity for you to permanently
inscribe your name or the name of someone you
wish to honor on the on the first-ever Memorial
Wall erected in Liberia since the 1990 war.
Your
inscription will appear on the Memorial Wall and
will be dedicated to science education for Liberian
youth. More importantly, you will simultaneously
honor Professor Ward and the many others who died
during the 1990 war on the Fendall campus or beyond
the campus. The funds will be used to support
educational programs at the University of Liberia.
While
space is still available, we invite Liberians
and friends of Liberians from all over the world
to send payment today and register their names
for the Memorial Wall. The affordable cost for
an inscription up to 20 characters is $20. If
additional characters are needed, and additional
set of 20 characters can be purchased for an additional
$20. You can also choose to honor an organization
or small business.

donation is tax-deductible and you will inscribe
your name(s) on the wall forever, it will fund
science education as well as a memorial wall-
a wall where you can find your inscribed name
anytime you visit the University campus. The Wall
will become a place of welcome, understanding,
remembrance and reconciliation for all Liberians,
those who lost loved ones and those who didn't.
And along with your Memorial Wall inscription
donation, if you are not already a Ward Fund Crystallite
Member, you will receive a one-year complimentary
Membership. Please register your inscription(s)

Contributors
to the Memorial Wall will be recognized at the

AN
INSCRIPTION consists of the name(s) of one or
two people, the name of a family, OR the official
name of a group, business, or organization. Characters
include periods, commas, hyphens and spaces. We
will not include titles such as PhD., Mr. Mrs,
Honorable, etc. ALL SUBMISSIONS for inscription
are subject to review and approval by the museum.
In some cases, we may ask for legal verification
of a name submitted as an Honor Wall inscription.
