Mildred Frances Wilhelmina Yancy

April 24, 1932 – November 8, 2014

The family of Mildred Frances Wilhelmina Yancy announces her home going in her eighty-second year on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. She leaves to mourn her loss her children:  Rev. Dr. F. Olive Davis, Deroe E.A. Davis-Weeks (Monroe), Min. Dr. St. Jerome N. Davis, III (Marie-Antoinette), Rev. Dr. MacDonald F.W. Davis, Eunice V. Davis-Gardiner (Eugene), Mildred F. Wilma Davis-Doe (Roosevelt), Stephenetta J. Koffa Benjamin, Penny W. Koffa-Clarke, Esq. (Nathaniel Leon), Ambassador Mohammed Sheriff, Alzena “China” Yancy-Dorley; her siblings: M. Fulton W. Yancy, Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Yancy-Moore, Anthony Raymond, Sr., Emma Andrews-Flemister, Edith Jasper, Bessie Toe-Smith and Helena Freeman; twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a plethora of people that lived with her and called her mother, and a host of other relatives.

She was predeceased by her parents Mansfield F.W. Yancy, Sr., and Olive D. Gibson Yancy-Andrews; her siblings Theresa Olive Yancy, Adolph W. Yancy, Harold Oliver Haggerty, Wilmot D. Stubblefield; and her grandson, Lord Omar Cooper.
