The death is announced of Rev. David G. Yawo of Park Hill Avenue, Staten Island, NY on November 17, 2012 at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Funeral & wake keeping: There will be a one night wake keeping at Christ Pentecostal Church of Staten Island, 900 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY 10304 on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 7 p.m. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same church on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 8:30 a.m.

Thereafter, the remains of Rev. Yawo will be flown to Monrovia, Liberia where there will be another night of wake keeping in Monrovia on January 3, 2013 and burial in the deceased’s home town of Jukodaba, commonly known as Behwahlay, Kparblee District, Nimba County, Liberia on January 6, 2013.

Flowers:  Friends and sympathizers are advised to note that there is going to be no reefs or flowers ceremony since there will not be burial here in the United States. The family will, however, highly appreciate financial contributions towards his many projects including his home church in Liberia.
