Interview with Francishomer Chairman of the NEC of the Republic
of Liberia
Pekin:
Madam Francishomer, would you say that you are doing a good
job with planning and organizing the 2005 General Elections
in Liberia?
Francishomer:
Well Pekin, I think I am.
Pekin:
You do?
Francisomer:
Yes. Look at all the people who have registered to vote
and all the candidates who are running in this Election.
Never before in Liberia's history have so many people been
allowed this opportunity.
Pekin:
Do you think that these number of people being allowed to
run is because you lower the standards?
Francishomer:
Standards? Gulp!
Pekin:
Yes, Standards madam, the requirement that is outlined in
that all important document call the Constitution?
Francishomer: Gulp! Gulp! umm, umm, umm... The CPA
waived almost everything, so I waive the rest.
Pekin:
Yes, Including the Citizenship of the President.
Pekin:
Madam, on Tuesday April 26, 2005 you had this to say at
a pre-voter registration briefing There
is no need to tell you what these elections mean to Liberians.
At this point, ours is a fragile nation that over the years
tragically lost the use of its legs and is now learning
how to walk all over again.
Francishomer:
Yes I did. It sounds good doesn't it?
Pekin:
Yes Mam, but do you consider allowing an 11th grade dropout,
foreign citizens and some of the other, broke, clueless,
riff rafts you cleared to participate in the upcoming elections,
helpling to give Liberia it's legs back?
Francishomer:
Gulp!
Pekin:
Madam Francishomer, do you think that by lowering the requirements
for the Position of Liberia's highest office, you and the
NEC, may have expose Liberia to more instability, which
could prolong our suffering and delay our recovery?
Francishomer:
Gulp! Gulp! Pekin, you got to help me out here my child,
Can I call a life line?
Pekin:
Sure Francishomer, make the call.
Francishomer:
Gyude
Bryant help me ooooooooooooooooooooo.
