In Loving Memory of Joseph "Kpah" Dougan
December 22, 1960 - May 2, 2016
We love you with all our hearts. You were our best friend and our hero. We miss your good spirit, warm heartiness, love that you had for your family and friends. Although you had a quiet personality, your presence was always known. You had so many amazing qualities, especially, remembering everyone’s birthday and digging up old family histories. We missed our nonsense arguments and regret the times we yelled at one another when you were only trying to help. You would always say “Your need to know your family history”. We would jokingly clap back at you saying, “Na… there he goes again digging up family histories. Ehn… where did he get dat one from again…” (smile). Oh, how we should have listened.
You’re still here in our hearts and minds, still making us laugh because your stories live on. We hold you in our thoughts because it gives us strength and courage.
As II Corinthians says: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. We will always hold you dearly in our hearts.
We’ll wear your memory proudly, our beloved…our true friend. May our love for you reach Heaven above until we meet again.
We miss you dearly…
Your beloved family
