Sweet and Loving Memory of Mother Mary Ledlow Anderson
Affectionately: “Mother Dear, Medea, Aunty Mary, & Ma Mary”
Dawn: July 21, 1927 – Dusk: May 17, 2016
A year ago, our dearest Mother Mary Ledlow Anderson, an ordinary woman from humbled beginnings who did extraordinary things, answered that clarion call to join the heavenly chorus. She (Mother Dear, Medea, Aunty May, Ma Mary) was a vehicle of God’s goodness; and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunty, friend, and a good neighbor without borders.
The world may change from year to year and friends from day to day, but never will Mother Dear ever pass away from memory. For we know that deep in the earth lies a picture. In memory’s frame, we shall keep it because Medea was one of a million, so kind, loyal, humble, and true.
Although we love her, Aunty Mary had to pass beyond our present sight. She left us and the world to answer to her call. But we know that like a candle her lovely light is surely shining to brighten up another place more perfect and divine. And, in the realm of Heaven, we are confident that Ma Mary is glowing so bright and shall live forevermore in our hearts and God’s eternal light til that day when our dearly departed shall rise again.
