MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR Rev. Mother Cora Berry Simmons

A memorial Service celebrating the life of the late Rev. Mother Cora Berry - Simmons is scheduled to be held on November 12, 2011 promptly at 11:00 am. This event is being planned by the United Baptist Church, Inc. and the Association of Liberian Christian Ministers (ALCM).

The Late Reverend Mother Cora Combay Berry - Simmons, widow of the late Bishop Abraham T. Simmons, Sr. was born on May 4, 1923 in Bakontown, Rivercess and departed this earth for glory on Monday, August 8, 2011.

While living with her children Rev., Dr. Blamo Seekie and Evangelist Dr. Naomi J. S. Seekie in Virginia, mother Cora became an active member of United Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, under the pastoral care of Rev., Dr. Genevieve E. R. Garnett, from 1992 - 2002.

Mother Cora was also one of the founding members of The Gates of Heaven Mid-Day Prayer Band, and a member of the Tuesday Cottage Prayer Band. She traveled throughout Liberia, the Ivory Coast and the United States of America teaching and preaching the unadulterated word of God.
