The
Freeman and Fahnbulleh families sadly announce
the home-going of their father, grandfather, cousin
and uncle, MacDonald B. Freeman, Sr. He
peacefully slipped away on Friday, September 24,
2010, in Liberia, West Africa and was laid to
rest on October 16, 2010 in Liberia.
Daddy,
Mac, Uncle Mac, and Grand Dad, as he was affectionately
called, leaves to celebrate his life, his first
wife, Mrs. Evangeline D. Varnah and their daughters;
Maxine and Myrtle, his sons, Manju, Karmo, MacDonald
Jr., and Arthur; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends. His second wife, Anna
Marshall Freeman and son, Macmillan predeceased
him.
Mr.
Freeman was a graduate of Booker T. Washington
Vocational and Technical School and the University
of Liberia. He also did some graduate studies
and training abroad. He worked for the Liberia
American Swedish Mining Company (LAMCO) in Yekepa,
Nimba County, Liberia, in various administrative
capacities, for nearly thirty (30) years.
A
Requiem Mass will be held in his memory on
Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the below
location and time.
