Rock Crusher - A Rock Quarry in Monrovia

March 2008

This section is dedicated to the hard working young men I met at Rock Crusher, on ELWA Road / Robertsfield Highway.

The rocks are moved in small piles from the work area to the display area on the side of the road near the quarry.

They sell different sizes of rock

A pile of flat rocks

The rocks are then grouped in piles to be loaded with shovels on to trucks when they are sold.

This 10 tire truck load (2 piles plus a little dash) cost $330.00 (US) including delivery

Like they say in Liberia "No food for lazy man".

Rock crushing is hard work, but the men of Rock Crusher are taking advantage of the construction boom, and they are working.
