On Saturday, April 15, 2017, the AKA Sorority and partnering restaurants organized a "Taste of Liberia" that was held on 19th Street Beach Side in Sinkor. This was the first of it's kind in Liberia and turned out to be quite nice.
The event started at 10:00 am and went on until 6:00 pm. Vendors from various restaurants had different kinds of food, drinks and desserts for sale and there was plenty for the kids to do including the bouncing house, painting of their faces, toddles bike rides and an Easter egg hunt.
The prices of the food and drinks were affordable and they had everything from lobster to lollipop chicken, milk candy, bitter leaf and rice or fufu, goat soup, pepper kala, cassava and gravy and much much more. Families and friends came by throughout the afternoon sampling foods from various vendors and finding the perfect spot in the shade to settle and enjoy their meal.
The event was nice and different and created a new and wonderful way during the dry season to spend a Saturday afternoon. These are the pictures from the Taste of Liberia event sponsored by AKA.
