Miss
Uganda International will perform at
Mayorga Coffee Factory on Friday, April 22
Greetings!

Miss
Uganda International, Monica Ssali, will be
featured at Mayorga Coffee Factory in Silverspring,
Maryland on Friday, April 22, as lead
singer of Higher Vibes, one of D.C.'s most-
promising bands. The Ugandan singing beauty
aroused charm and adoration on November 13 as
she
won the hearts of the audience of the Miss Africa
International pageant with her smooth, expressive
singing. Incidentally, Sean "P. Diddy"
Combs' Vice
President for Marketing, Emmet Dennis, and Ken
Mabaye, then a director at Sony BMG Music
Entertainment, were in the audience that night,
one
of them even judging the pageant! Her winning
personality prompted her fellow contestants to
vote
her "Miss Congeniality."

No
overnight success, Monica is a source of
inspiration to parishioners of Jesus House on
Sundays
with her soulful singing. With the artistic and
intellectual trademarks of Miss Africa Interanational
delegates, Monica leads a life of achievement:
a
leader in the music ministry, designer of formal
wear,
writer, musician and professional vocalist. With
several musical awards under her belt, Monica
has
already begun to build her own following. The
world
will hear of her for years to come.
Recent
activities of the Miss Africa International
delegates include a promotional for Universal
Color
Cosmetics at Union Station in D.C. and the Africa
Business Conference at Harvard University, where
Miss Ghana
International 2005 hosted the fashion show. Visit
our
website regularly to find out what the Miss
Africa International delegates are doing to show
