Beloved Mother, Mama, Annie-Boo, Miss Annie, Aunty, Teacher Sancho

On this day, July 9, 2021, were you with us, we would be celebrating your birthday with dancing, singing, and just loving you.

You are, however, celebrating in Glory where you shall nevermore die. A place where the old is forever young, transformed in a moment of time.  Immortal you are standing in his likeness, the stars and sun to outshine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!!

We love and miss you, and we are all looking forward to that GREAT GETTING-UP MORNING.

From your beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews, friends, and students.

Acknowledgement

Dear Mama,

It has been two months since you gained your wings, and, went to be with the Lord and; a month since we laid you to rest. To say we missed you is an understatement. We go by your gravesite often to talk to you. We know physically you are not there. However, it gives us comfort knowing there is a place we can go to visit you.  Mama, nothing will be the same again without you. We missed your prayers, guidance, and times we spend talking about traveling and yes, writing your book. Although you did not get to write it, it will be written. Mama, as we celebrate milestones in our lives, your presence will be missed. Continue to rest in peace our sweet Mother. You will never be forgotten.

With Everlasting Love,

your children.

Now, to all of our friends, and family, who took time out of their busy schedule to visit, call, and pray for us.  We say thank you. A special thanks to the Cooper family, Russell family, Geegbea family, Massaquoi family; Tarpeh-Dee children (California), and the Wolo family (Minnesota) for your love and contributions. We can never repay you for your kindness. May God richly bless each of you.

In Loving Kindness,

Mama Blopoh Children

NOTE OF THANKS

The Johnson, Dunor, and Jackson families of Kolahun District, Lofa County, Liberia extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all friends who showed Fatu Gertrude Johnson, our charismatic and dearly-beloved niece, daughter, sister, cousin and mother so much love both during her lifetime and at her passing. Many thanks indeed for your sincere expressions of sympathy and your generous donations toward her homegoing in Atlanta. Though Fatu died relatively young, we rejoice and give thanks to Almighty God for using her to show that human love and kindness are feasible even in the course of "one crowded hour of glorious life."

In Loving Memory of a Husband and Father on His 70th Birthday

Counsellor David A.B. Jallah

March 25, 1951 – May 21, 2018

Today marks what would have been your 70th birthday. It has been nearly three years since the morning that forever changed our lives and left an irreparable void in our family. To say we miss you is an understatement. There have been so many occasions and traditions that are not the same now and whenever we convene on those days as a family, the place you held in those times hold your memory, bringing us comfort and despair, all at once. With the Almighty with us, we are making it through and we pray that you have been received by the Creator, resting in peace.

With Love and Affection,
Your Wife and Children

Thank you message for The Rev. Dr. Matilda Eeleen Greene Dunn

We would like to sincerely thank those who have called, sent messages, texts, prayers, cards, flowers, food, thoughts, well wishes, donations to the American Kidney Fund, or contributions otherwise to the homegoing services of our dear and beloved Matilda – wife, mother, sister, cousin, sister aunty, aunty, grandmother, friend, teacher, pastor. Your words of sympathy and tributes shared have meant so much to us as we mourn Matilda’s transition from this world to eternity with our Lord. This loss would be too much to bear without your kind words and felt presence and we are comforted that you have celebrated Matilda’s life with us. We hope you join us in continuing to honor Matilda’s spirit by nurturing faith and love in your lives and the lives of others and by cherishing family and loved ones.

With love,
The Dunn Family

TRIBUTE TO OUR DEAR MOTHER WILLIAMETTA BEATRICE PORTE

“Memories are treasures no one can steal,
Death is a heartache nothing can heal,
Some will forget you now that you are gone,
We will remember you no matter how long
Mommy, Sleep well in the sweet arms of Jesus.”
We love you and truly missed you.”

The Late
Williametta Beatrice Porte
Sunrise: August 7, 1930
Sunset: February 29, 2016

Thanks Mommy for the care and support, and for the values of honesty, steadfastness, patience, humbleness, sacrifice, unworldliness, contentment, non-covetousness, and hard work instilled in us; all of which we strived to maintain and thrive on today. You have been our mother and best friend. Thank you for the moments we shared; moments filled with shared feelings and thoughts, dreams and wishes, and above all friendship/motherly love. Each precious moment will be treasured in our hearts as long as life permits us. May the blessings of God be with you always Mommy.

As we observe a mournful remembrance of the fifth anniversary of your death on February 29, 2016 Dear Mother; the tenderest of memories of you will forever remain with us as we reflect on all of the fun and games we played and the season plans we made as a family. Thank you so much Mommy for being such a wonderful mother. We love you Mommy.

Your long and eventful life was full of Love, Peace, Happiness, Perseverance, Gentleness, Honesty, commitment, Patience and lots of other virtues. Inclusively, you were a woman with strength of character: Simple, Easy-Going, Humble, Hard Working, Responsible and Family oriented. As we mourn your loss, it is our belief that Christ has taken you to where He prepared a final and peaceful resting place for you.

Losing our dear mother; Williametta has been a very painful experience. Your loving support/care for us over the years has been a great help. Thank you for being there for us when we needed you most. Words cannot express our appreciation for the motherly love and support you shared with us over the years.

As we successfully pilot our lives without your physical presence for the past years, we firmly believe that you and Daddy (Rameses Augustus Porte, Sr.) are with the Lord; praying for God’s abundance grace on all of us. May the souls of you, daddy, and the souls of all the faithful departed in the mercies of God, rest in perfect peace until we meet again.

From: Everette Porte-Ferguson, Ariminta Porte-Gbaba, (Joseph Gbaba, Sr.), Rameses A. Porte, Jr. (Leemue
Porte), Alonso W. Porte, Sr. (Harietta Porte) Saretta P. Porte, Grace Cole (Andy Cole), Vida Porte-
Ncube, Roberta Weefur and several grand and great grandchildren,

DR. Rudolph A Polson

Sunrise May 4, 1960 - Sunset February 5, 2020

Psalm 121: 1&2
“I lift up my eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
the creator of the Heavens and the Earth”.

Exactly one year ago, today, on February 5, 2020, you left us to be with the Lord. It’s hard to believe it is already a year since your departure. It seems like yesterday but the pain of losing you is forever in our hearts. The void created by your departure can never be filled but memories of our time together on this earth are all that we have to hang-on.

We miss you so much and sometimes wonder why you had to leave us so soon but we all know that the Lord knows best. We love you so dearly but He loves you more. Continue to rest in Heavenly Peace and may your soul and the souls of all faithful departed Rest in Perfect Peace and Light Perpetual shine on them.

With All Our Love,
The Polson Family

To the Glory of almighty God, who will raise and quicken the dead and In loving memory of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece and Friend;

Amelia Yudeh Sackie Nance

We can hardly believe that one year has passed already, since you fell asleep. It seems like it was just yesterday! The pain is real and the void is gaping, but our Hope is certain, we will see you again!

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another...” Job 19:25-27. On that day, you and all the faithful that are asleep in the dust, will rise at the call of the Archangel. Together, we will rise to meet the Lord in the air, never to part again!

Yudeh, your Summer is soon to come!

A Tribute to Sarah Christine Fredericks

December 25, 1952 – January 2, 2021

My Love Always for Sarah Fredericks….

My love for you began in Brandywine, Maryland when I was a single mom in a new home with two young boys… in desperate need of direction and perspective. However, you frequently reminded me that your love for me began when you traveled to visit Uncle Mickey in Flushing 43 years ago upon hearing that your best friends had given birth to a girl named Elizabeth. Reuniting with you in Maryland was truly serendipitous in every way – though you had known me my entire life through your friendship with my parents, I quickly came to realize that God sent you and your love at a time when I was most in need - when I was most unsure about myself and my abilities. And just like the angel you are, you appeared and immediately put it all in perspective for me - Like only you could. You became my cheerleader, my confidant, my partner in (good) crime ? and my comedian when I couldn’t find my own smile. When Dementia robbed me of my mother, without hesitation you immediately stepped in for your sister…being the mom that I needed and the grandma that the boys needed. Through your living examples and fervent prayers on my behalf, you strengthened my faith in God and directed me closer to Him. Evangelizing the Word of God daily within my life and the life of others.

Samuel T. Lawrence

Sunrise: January 9, 1942

Sunset: November 23, 2020

The Lawrence, Baryon, Kollie and Allison families would like to thank all those who sympathized with us during the home-going events of our Father, Uncle, GrandDad, Brother and Cousin(Samuel T. Lawrence). Your flowers, cash, kind and words of consolations were remarkable and without you, the process would have been difficult.

We are extremely grateful for kind gestures.
Dear Pappay Sam: (Samuel T. Lawrence), we want to thank you for sharing 78 unbroken years with the family. Your smiles and affections will be greatly missed. You were our gentle giant and your love for service to humanity is worth emulating. Your patients called you the poor man’s doctor, your peers called you Cous and we the children called you Pappay Sam. These were distinguished honors bestowed upon you for the quality of life you lived. You were always a fun guy and you enjoyed every bit of your life to the fullest of your ability. It’s hard to imagine been at family’s functions without you. You are loved even in death, you will forever be missed. God be with you till we meet again.

As you journey this new path, we extend our loves to the faithful departed: Ma Guator, Ma Deddeh, Ma Rebecca, Jeff, Darlingboy, Peppa Hawa Ben, and Johannes. “ If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. Our eyes still ache with sadness and secret tears still flow”. You will always have a special place in our hearts. We love you all but Jesus loves you best.

Kollie Kpator and Rachel Lawrence.
