Florence was born Sep 15, 1954 in Monrovia, Liberia to the late Moses M. and late Rebecca (Johnson) Diggs.  As a youth, Florence attended many schools and ended up leaving the schools for various reasons.  It was not until she attended Lott Carey Baptist Mission that she found solace in a school.  She loved the school so much that she despised going home when the school closed for vacation!

Colton and gained a step-son, Samuel A. Belmore.  In Nov 1990, Florence gave birth to Denzel Zeke Colton.  The marriage dissolved in May 2003.

Florence became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1981.  She spent the majority of her 25+ career working at the General Hospital of Rhode Island Medical Center.  She received numerous awards for her unwavering love and dedication that she showed each patient.

Florence’s many interests included watching African and karate movies.  However, her favorite pastime was listening to music, mainly African, gospel, and reggae, and partying with family and friends.
