A time to mourn and a time to dance.
So at this time, while leaning on God’s words, we, the family announce the sudden passing of Gladys Monaymah Bernadette Bickersteth Scott- Grant on August 20, 2019. She was born unto she union of Nancy Gbor-Younon Wisseh and Sigismund I. Bickersteth on October 18, 1935 in the township of Nin-gbonklin, Rivercess, Grand Bassa County, Liberia.
Mrs. Grant was a teacher in the Catholic and Public School Systems, She taught at St. Patrick’s Elementary, Monrovia, Liberia, Edwin Barclay Elementary School in Monrovia and Boatswain School on Bushrod Island. In addition, she served as a librarian at the University of Liberia and dedicated wife of an endearing husband and diplomat, Honorable Ishmael B. Grant.
With heavy hearts, we mourn our own beloved Yu-go-doegoe, Teta, Ma, Gran, Aunty Gladys, Mother Grant and Teacher Gladys Scott.
