Naomi Koffa Nimley-Harmon

December 6, 1925-June 19, 2019

With the deepest sorrow the Nimley and Harmon families announce the death of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, sister, aunt and best friend, Naomi Koffa Nimley-Harmon affectionately called "Gran". Gran worked at the JFK and TB hospitals for a combined total of twenty-five years until retirement. She continued to devote her life to her family, community and church.

This sad event occurred at the ELWA hospital in Monrovia, Liberia. Gran is survived by her daughter Christiana Nyeneje Harmon; step children: Hilary S. Harmon, Henrique Harmon (Florence), Lydia Harmon (Sidney), Friday Harmon, Charlotte Harmon, and Rev. Canon John T. W. Harmon (Keva); several grandchildren including Naomi Koffa Girl Greene, Ruthie Greene-Attia (James), and Francis Jargbwe Nyaforh (Sara). Her nieces & nephews include Victoria Nimley, Aletha Munah Nimley, Denise L. Nimley, Mary Chieh, Wanda Jones, Augusta Flemister, Ernestine Nimley, Samuel T. Nimley (Lydia), Ambassador Andrew W. Kronyanh, and Olive Janjay Benson (Sharp). Her great grandchildren include Archie Snosio Lewis, Natasha C. Clarke, and Beyla S. Nyaforh, and a host of relatives in Liberia, USA, and the UK.

Gran was predeceased by her husband, Henry G. Harmon; parents, Booker Kro Nimley and Togbeh Chea Nyeneje of Grandcess now Grand Kru County; sisters, Ruth Blo Nimley, Mary Sanso; brother, Samuel T. Nimley Sr; great grandson, Delvin Nyesewro Koffa; niece, Beatrice T. Nimley; and nephews, Victor T. Nimley, George S. Nimley and Randolph Varney Gbanya.
